A Solo Physio's Week: Planning Treatment and Admin Time

When nobody else plans your week, it fills itself: patients wherever there is a gap, home visits squeezed between, admin at night, lunch if lucky. A planned weekly template puts patients, admin, breaks and growth in their place.

A sample week

Monday to Friday

  • 8:30 to 9:00: prepare, check the day, reply to WhatsApp.
  • 9:00 to 1:00: clinic patients.
  • 1:00 to 2:00: lunch and rest. Really.
  • 2:00 to 4:00: home visits in one area, or admin on two days.
  • 5:00 to 8:00: evening clinic for working patients, with one buffer slot.

Saturday

  • Morning clinic.
  • Afternoon: one hour for growth: videos, doctor visits, learning.

Sunday: off.

Change the hours to suit your city and family. The shape matters more than the exact times.

Put it in the diary

Set your working hours and breaks in your diary, so online booking offers only patient times. Mark admin and lunch as kept free.

Group similar work

  • New patients in the morning when you are fresh.
  • Home visits in one area on set days. See hybrid clinics.
  • Video consultations in one block.

Admin needs its own time

A daily half hour and a weekly block stop admin spilling into nights. See doing your own admin.

Leave space

A buffer slot absorbs delays and urgent patients. If it is free, use it to catch up.
